About True Works

Locally Owned, Owner-Operated

True Works LLC is a Des Moines, Iowa remodeling company working on both sides of the wall — interior and exterior.

Owner Alan has spent more than eight years in construction and has run True Works under its own name since 2021. It is a deliberately modest company: small enough that the person who quotes your job is the person who is accountable for it, and experienced enough to do the work properly.

We work on charming old houses that need care, newer homes that need updating, and the occasional commercial space. The common thread is craftsmanship you can point at and pricing you can plan around.

How we work

• A written price before demo. You know what the job costs before anything is torn out.
• Clear stages. Consultation, signed estimate, color meeting, schedule, finish. See What to Expect.
• Communication early and often. You should never have to wonder who is showing up tomorrow.
• Change orders in writing. If the scope changes, you approve the cost before we do the work.
• Backed by a workmanship warranty. If something we installed is not right, we come back.

Interior and exterior

Bathroom remodels, roofing, siding, windows and doors, decks, flooring, tile, drywall and trim carpentry, painting, demolition, and custom projects. See the full list on our Services page.
